Written in Ukrainian from the start, for Ukrainian storytellers. A few from the first set, ahead of our editor’s review:
Недільний стіл
Хто у вашій родині ліпив вареники в неділю і хто їх найбільше любив?
Who made varenyky on Sundays in your family, and who loved them most?
Describe the house or flat where you grew up. What grew under the window?
How did your family keep Sviat Vechir, Christmas Eve? Who tasted the kutia first?
Which song did your mother or grandmother sing while she did the chores?
Varenyky stay varenyky. We keep her words in her spelling and add a short note in the margin for the grandkids.
Mom sang while she made varenyky*, and we knew: today would be a celebration.
*varenyky: filled dumplings. We keep this word.
Concept layout. Sample story written by our team, read by a voice actor.
Skip any question, pause for weeks, or stop. No topic is ever required, and we don’t ask about hard years unless she brings them up herself.
A call at the time she picks. In early access, calls go to US and Canada numbers.
She answers the week’s question with a voice note, the way she already talks to the family.
One big record button on a private page. It works wherever the internet does.
Voice notes on Telegram and Viber are planned.

The final details and the price you saw; you decide then.
Yes, wherever a voice note or the web link works. In early access, phone calls go to US and Canada numbers, so storytellers in Ukraine answer by voice note or the web link. Storytellers in occupied areas need an extra check before we can start; you’ll hear how it went before any price comes up.
We keep it the way she says it. Surzhyk, a line of Russian dialogue in a Ukrainian story, an English word in the middle of a sentence: the original stays as spoken, and the English is on the facing page.
Only people you invite. Stories are encrypted in storage, and she can mark anything ‘not for the book’, and it stays out of print. We never use stories to train AI, and one email deletes everything.
Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, Portuguese and more are on our list. Some take longer: we add a language only when a native editor is on board.
Noted, thank you. We’ll write to you when that edition opens.
