Questions written in Russian about the courtyard, the first job and New Year’s, and a hardcover the grandkids can read.
Our Russian questions are reviewed by a native speaker.
Reserve a holiday giftFor storytellers from many countries, wherever Russian was the language at home. A few from the first set:
Двор
Опишите двор, в котором вы выросли. Во что там играли?
Describe the courtyard you grew up in. What did you play there?
Tell us about the dacha: what grew there, and who came out on weekends?
What was your first job, and what did you spend your first paycheck on?
How did your family see in the New Year? What was on the table?
Dacha stays dacha. Some words carry a whole childhood, so we keep them the way he says them and add a short note in the margin.
Every summer they sent us to Grandpa’s dacha*. He’d wake me at five in the morning to go mushroom hunting while the dew was still on the grass.
*dacha: a family’s summer cottage. We keep this word.
Concept layout. Sample story written by our team, read by a voice actor.
WhatsApp isn’t reliably available in Russia, so storytellers there use the web link or call our US number instead.
A call at the time he picks. In early access, calls go to US and Canada numbers.
He answers the week’s question with a voice note, the way he already talks to the family.
One big record button on a private page. It works wherever the internet does.
Kinspoken is built for families whose best storyteller speaks a different language from the grandkids. We’re building the book we couldn’t find: his words on the left, English on the right, his voice one scan away.
There are no reviews here yet, just how it works, what it costs, and what we promise.

Yes, almost anywhere a voice note or web link works. In early access, phone calls go to US and Canada numbers. WhatsApp isn’t reliably available in Russia, so storytellers there use the web link or call our US number. For storytellers in some countries we need an extra check before we can start; you’ll hear how it went before any price comes up.
Keep mixing. A Yiddish saying in a Russian story, an English word in the middle of a sentence: we keep it the way it was said and translate it on the facing page.
Only people you invite. Stories are encrypted in storage, and he can mark anything ‘not for the book’, and it stays out of print. We never use stories to train AI, and one email deletes everything.
Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, Portuguese and more are on our list. Some take longer: we add a language only when a native editor is on board.
Noted, thank you. We’ll write to you when that edition opens.
